Eleni Nicholas Deitz
Eleni Nicholas Deitz She/Her
SCHA Education Coordinator/ Social Media / Website /Events
Eleni Nicholas Deitz has had a love affair with the Herb Association since 2018 when she started interning at the Herb Exchange.
Garbling the herbs, meeting medicine makers and farmers and being part of the SCHA/E community instantly became one of her favorite things. So much so that she ended up accepting a seat on the SCHA board.
She wears a lot of hats at the SCHA- Helping with Social media, the SCHA website, and doing graphic design for classes/events but her official title is “Education Coordinator”. This is where she weaves her love of bringing the herbal community and different teachers together through hosting classes for the SCHA.
Eleni’s love for herbs isn’t necessarily through the medical lens. She’s fascinated with the folklore, superstitions, ethnobotany and magic that surround these beautiful healing plants.
Eleni comes from a long line of healers and seers in Greece. She visits her ancestral villages each year and collects old herbal recipes, spells and stories from her elders. She is an Initiated Diviner through the Dagara lineage as well as her own greek lineages and sees clients in her Diviner hut in Occidental Ca.
When Eleni isn’t volunteering for the SCHA she can be found nerding out on ancient history, magical systems and oracular places. She also loves hosting women’s new moon circles and curating ceremony and rituals.
She lives in Occidental with her cute family - her husband Noah D. their daughter Lilah Poppy, their 2 cats and a bunny.
P.S Eleni is also a web designer, collaborating with her husband Noah D. under Seven Ridges Design, the creative force behind our new website!
