Mitcho holds a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Art and Media Technology from the Inter-Arts Center at San Francisco State University. He is a former director to the Pacific Arts Fine Arts Summer Programs for young folks for the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department. For 14 years he created and directed programs for queer youth in San Francisco, also for the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Dept, as well as for the LGBTQ Center, and LYRIC.
Mitcho has been teaching various aspects of herbal medicine for over a decade at conferences, senior centers, herb schools, community colleges, and universities. Mitcho was a founding board member and former Community Liaison for Peace in Medicine in Sonoma County. He is the Chancellor Emeritus of Oaksterdam University’s former North Bay Campus.
As an herbalist, he was schooled in California at CSHS where he has since taught advanced students about Cannabis Medicine. He also studied Ayruvedic Medicine with Candis Canton – author of the Herbal Tarot. He has a CCOF farm in South Sebastopol with a large garden where he teaches workshops and helps others learn to heal. He illustrated the amazing book by Leslie Gardener on growing medicinal herbs; “Life in the Medicine”. His company “The Resourcery”, located in downtown Sebastopol, is a fully permitted manufacturing company producing “CannaCentric” Herbal Products of all sorts.
Mitcho is the current Professor of Potions at Grendel Gravenstein’s School for Witches and Wizards.
